Job Description

Auburn Hills Active Adult Community is seeking an Administrative Assistant
 to work in a Clubhouse Office

Part-time, 12-20 hrs./wk.
Flexible Schedule: days, some weekends & evenings.


QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma and some college or work experience preferred.

Cheerfulness, positive attitude, patience and ability to work effectively with all people especially 55 and older adults in a Clubhouse Office Setting.
                                           

Leadership skills directing Clubhouse social event including instructions to clean up/set up to resident volunteers and overseeing all details of events.

Computer skills required. Programs regularly used are Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.

Good organizational and interpersonal skills including group dynamics and teamwork.

Good verbal and written communication skills essential.

Ability to work independently and as a team with other employees and supervisors.

Demonstrates emotional maturity (interpersonal relations with staff, residents, volunteers, safety and emergency decisions, etc.).

High degree of professionalism concerning confidentiality, privacy and security issues.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Answers telephone- record detailed messages-forward to manger.

Accepts resident fee payments and records payments accordingly.

Files office paperwork and maintains databases.

Assists in planning, development and implementations of community programs, events, and bus trips as directed by manager.

Assists in the formatting, printing and distribution of the monthly newsletter.

Leads small, medium and large group activities/programs as directed by manager, including some evening and weekend events (EX. movies).
