Oakland University offers guaranteed admission to qualified Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy students

Oakland University has partnered with Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy for a new program that offers qualified students guaranteed admission to OU.

To qualify for guaranteed admission, students must possess a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, submit an application and official high school transcripts, and fulfill all other admission criteria required of incoming freshmen to OU.

The agreement is effective through June 30, 2025 and is subject to review for continuation for future classes of students.

“This agreement further solidifies our excellent working relationship with Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy. We are fortunate to have academically talented high school students living in Oakland County who will thrive as Golden Grizzlies,” said OU’s Vice President for Enrollment Management, Dawn Aubry. “This agreement assures students who work hard and display the grit and determination to complete a college degree have the opportunity to attend our institution at an affordable cost.”

Located in Pontiac, Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy is a nonprofit, non-public school for students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

The new admissions agreement complements the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme that has been implemented at Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy.

Oakland University values the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and its engaging and challenging curriculum that encourages critical thinking, intercultural understanding and respect.

Students holding an IB diploma or certificate will be awarded college credit that may count toward a specific course required for graduation, general education requirements, or total credits required for graduation. For more information, visit the webpage.
