Scare Away Hunger 5k & Family Fun Run

Neighborhood House is excited to announce its signature annual Scare Away Hunger 5K and Family Fun Run, taking place on Sunday, October 5, 2025. This year's event is once again proudly presented by MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU), continuing a meaningful partnership that strengthens our community.

Event Highlights:

• Costume Fun: Participants are invited to embrace the Halloween spirit with creative costumes, making this more than just a race—it's a celebration!
• 5K Run/Walk: A picturesque route welcoming everyone from competitive athletes to first-time participants, showcasing Rochester's natural beauty
• Family Fun Run: A spirited 1-mile course designed for families to enjoy together, with strollers welcome
• NEW: Pancake Breakfast: Join racers and spectators for a delicious pancake breakfast while celebrating community fellowship
• Bring a +1: We encourage every participant to bring a canned food item to further support our neighbors in need
• Post-Race Activities: Music, refreshments, kids' crafts, and additional family-friendly activities to extend the celebration
