12th Annual Oakland County Manufacturing Day

Oakland County Manufacturing Day returns Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM, connecting students with local advanced manufacturers and introducing them to the high-paying, in-demand careers available in the industry.

During three-hour company visits, students and teachers tour design labs, testing centers, assembly operations, and other advanced manufacturing environments while participating in hands-on activities and engaging with employees to learn about career paths, skills needed for success, and entry-level opportunities.

Tour hosts are still needed! Participating companies will:

• Welcome groups of approximately 25–30 students
• Provide tours and hands-on activities
• Give students opportunities to engage with employees and learn about career paths, skills, and entry-level positions
• Provide lunch for students and chaperones

Organized in partnership by the Oakland County Department of Economic Development, Oakland County Michigan Works!, Oakland Schools, and Oakland Community College, the event is designed to inspire the next generation of talent while giving employers the opportunity to connect with their future workforce.
