Full Time - Floating Teller
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of teller functions.

Represents the Credit Union in a courteous and professional manner. Consistently provides high quality service to internal and external members.

Receives share deposits and loan payments.

Processes cash advances, cashiers’ checks, money orders, gift cards and wires.

Disburses cash or check share withdrawals.

Processes transfers.

Verifies transactions. Monitors deposit amounts and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly.

Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions.

Assist in end of day branch balancing, when needed.
Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional performance of member service functions.

Actively cross-sells Credit Union products and services.

Answers questions and solves problems for members by listening to problems, collecting data, securing answers, and reporting results to the inquiring party. Resolves member bookkeeping and checking account problems. Takes stop payment orders.

Receives members and telephone calls. Responds to inquiries and questions.

Performs file maintenance and account changes as needed.

Keeps members informed of Credit Union services and policies, including types of available accounts, interest and dividend rates, payroll deduction options, and other related services.

Maintains and projects the Credit Union's professional reputation. Maintains privacy of member account information.

Presents and explains Credit Union services and products to members and assists in meeting their financial needs. Opens and closes accounts. Orders checks for members' accounts. Completes payroll deduction and authorization forms.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with area personnel and with management.

Assists area personnel as required.

Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.

Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly.

Attends meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Performs drive-up service, ATM, and night drop functions as assigned.

Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained,

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Training for Teller functions completed.
- Knowledge of Teller operations and procedures.
- Solid understanding of Credit Union operations.
- BSA Specific Requirements: Knowledge of the requirements for Currency Transaction Reports, Reg CC, Truth in Savings, Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Exploitation Prevention Act, OFAC requirements, Privacy Policy and reporting suspicious activity, when identified, to manager or the BSA department. Complete assigned training.
- A minimum of 12 months of Teller and/or Member Service experience required in a full-service financial institution helpful.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to assist others.
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude. Solid math skills.
- Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including adding machine, copy machine, fax machine, coin and money counting machines, cash dispense, and telephone.
- Good typing skills.
