City of Auburn Hills Meals on Wheels Driver Needed for Daytime Deliveries
Looking for a simple and meaningful way to give back to the community? Become a Meals on Wheels driver and help ensure that local seniors receive the nutritious meals they need.
Senior citizens, who are unable to prepare their meals due to declining health, may be an elderly caregiver or recovering from surgery may be eligible to receive meals delivered to their home up to seven days a week. Meals are prepared at OPC and delivered to the Auburn Hills Senior Department where volunteers pack the meals and deliver them.
Meals on Wheels provides daily nutritious meals to homebound seniors with the added bonus of a quick safety check and much-needed human connection that comes with each delivery. Different routes are available and can usually be completed within two hours. Scheduling is easy and flexible. Whether it's once a week, once a month, or fill in when needed, your help will be greatly appreciated. This is a great opportunity for families, students, civic groups, churches, businesses, employees, and retirees to help out.
When: Monday–Friday
Start Time: 11:30 AM
Time Commitment: Just 1 to 1.5 hours per route
Your time makes a real difference. These deliveries provide not just food, but also a friendly face and peace of mind for seniors who rely on this vital service.
