Have you made a difference in your community?
High school seniors are invited to share their story for the opportunity to receive a $5,000 scholarship through the Fran & Russ Anderson Family Legacy Fund’s 2026 Making a Difference Scholarship Essay Competition.
Who Can Qualify?
Applicants must be high school seniors who reside in Auburn Hills, Pontiac, Waterford Township, or White Lake Township.
How to Apply:
Submit an application along with an essay of 500 words or less by noon on November 2, 2026. Essays must be written in the applicant’s own words and describe what they have personally done to make a difference in their local community.
The scholarship is presented by Oakland County Michigan Works!, with supporting partners Ascend Foundation, Consumers Energy and Pontiac Promise Zone.
