About Our Food Programs
Lighthouse runs two main food assistance programs: Home Delivery and Food Pantries. At our food pantries, headquartered in Pontiac, we store, package, and distribute thousands of well-balanced shelf-stable food boxes every year. Our home delivery program extends even further, delivering food across Oakland County through a network of volunteers and a partnership with Amazon delivery drivers. 

We also offer many group volunteering opportunities! Please contact Ali Mangiapane at amangiapane@lighthousemi.org to schedule group volunteering.

Pantry Volunteers – Pontiac Pantry  (Mon, Wed, Fri)

Help clients directly by:

• Unloading, organizing, and stocking food
• Packing food boxes
• Loading boxes into client vehicles
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas

Home Delivery Volunteers – (Tues, Thurs)
Support households unable to visit pantries by:

• Sorting and packing food for delivery
• Loading boxes into vehicles
• Assisting with general distribution logistics

Requirements

• Lift up to 25 lbs
• Age 16+ (under 16 must be accompanied)
• Team-oriented, compassionate, and respectful
• Maintain confidentiality and a safe workplace
